About Us: - SYI is led by a passionate and dedicated team of local leaders and educators, including Joshua, Mercy, etc. - We focus on uplifting the community of Soweto through educational support, community outreach, and creating opportunities for local children and families. 2. Volunteer Treatment: - Volunteers will be treated with warmth, respect, and kindness. - We foster an inclusive and supportive environment where your ideas are valued, and your contributions are appreciated. - From the moment you arrive, you will be welcomed as part of the SYI family, and we’ll ensure you have a fulfilling and meaningful experience. 3. Induction on the First Day: - On your first day, you’ll receive an induction to help you get familiar with our programs, expectations, and the community. - This induction will provide an overview of your role, an introduction to our team, and helpful tips to ensure you have a smooth and enriching experience. 4.Sustainability Contribution: - A contribution of $15 per day is required for sustainability purposes. - This fee covers living expenses, including food and accommodation, and helps support the ongoing work of SYI in the community.
