This was my first volunteering experience and it truly exceeded my expectations. the hostel made me feel safe, welcomed, and at home. Tahsin, the manager, was incredibly kind and supportive, and quickly became a true friend in Istanbul. Idris and Shems were also wonderful and created a warm family atmosphere. We shared dinners, cultures, and unforgettable moments with other volunteers and guests. I'm deeply grateful for this experience. Thank you, Worldpackers, for making this journey possible.

Tahsin was kind and flexible, and we appreciated that from the start. Still, there didn't seem to be clear rules or guidelines for guests or staff, which often left the common areas — especially the terrace — quite messy after late-night gatherings. We enjoyed the social vibe, but it would help if everyone were encouraged to clean up after themselves. Overall, we're thankful for Tahsin's kindness and flexibility, and we hope our feedback helps improve the experience for future volunteers.

Tahsin was very welcoming, and I really appreciated his openness and communication throughout our volunteering experience. However, the conditions made it hard to feel comfortable. The hostel felt a bit disorganized, and overall cleanliness wasn't great. Working remotely from the lobby was also tricky because of the noise and lack of a quieter area, so it might not be ideal for volunteers who need to work online or prefer a more organized environment.
