I need help around the house. Previous World Packers have been wonderful helping with the building of the extension and decorating. I'm now retired and disabled and need help sorting out the house preparing for a downsize.

It was an incredible honor to be here. I was treated like family. Jan and Michael are very intelligent and they kept me laughing the entire time. The work is reasonable and could be different from one day to the next, anything from painting to gardening and helping with whatever Michael is working on. Jan cooks some great food and she is always very helpful if you need any information. I was very happy to be able to relax in the countryside, although it's only an hour train ride away from Paris. It was an awesome experience, and I would recommend everyone to apply.

My experience in Normandy was great! Jan and Michael are an English family living there and make you feel at home since the first moment! Food is delicious and Michael have all the tools you need what it make your job easier. Also Michael can repair everything so you can learn a lot from him. Is more enjoyable traveling and at the same time helping nice people offering yours skills and willingness. I really spent good time.

I stayed here for about two weeks, and I was astounded by the amazing hosts. They are incredibly sweet and kind people, and they were just as excited to teach as I was to learn (if not more). I had a really comfy private room in a great house and amazing home-cooked meals. We even had the opportunity to see the D-Day beaches and go to dinner at a local restaurant. There weren't too many opportunities to practice my French, but I was still able to talk with neighbors and store employees on a fairly regular basis. It was a fantastic stay and I definitely recommend it for anyone considering!
