The experience

As our bartender, party promoter, and events lead, you will help create the social energy that defines the hostel. This role is perfect for someone outgoing, creative, and confident who enjoys connecting with travellers and bringing people together. You will support the bar, coordinate fun activities, and make sure guests feel included and excited to participate in the hostel’s nightlife and events.

What you offer

6 hours of help per day

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Program Details

When you arrive, we will introduce you to the bar menu, explain how our activities work, and show you how we run social nights. You will learn how to engage guests, promote events, and keep the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. We work closely with volunteers to build a schedule that suits both the hostel and your availability. The program is supportive, collaborative, and designed to help you feel comfortable in your role.

Activities & Shift

Shifts run from 6 to 10 in the evening, right when the bar and common areas start to fill with good energy. During this time, you will help prepare simple drinks, chat with guests at the bar, set up and promote activities like karaoke, trivia, game nights, or themed events, and help keep the music and vibe flowing. You can also take photos or videos for social media, invite guests to join the fun, and check in with people to make sure everyone feels comfortable and included. After events, you may help tidy the bar area so it is ready for the next day. The goal is to create a warm, lively atmosphere where guests can relax, meet new friends, and enjoy Valladolid nights.

Rules

Our rules are relaxed because we focus on trust, respect, and good communication. We just ask that you show up for your shift on time, keep the vibe positive, and treat guests the way you would treat friends. Responsible alcohol service is important, but we keep things easy to understand and guide you along the way. If you ever need a schedule change or have an idea, talk to us and we will work it out together. The hostel aims to stay flexible, fun, and supportive so you can enjoy your experience while helping keep the good energy alive.
