This was my first volunteer experience and I loved it. Valladolid is charming, full of kind people and way more to do than expected, surrounded by beautiful cenotes. the hostel is small, close-knit, flexible and relaxed. You shape responsibilities together, so volunteers have lots of input. Abel, the volunteer coordinator, is there every step of the way, super fun and supportive. Ivan, the owner, is hardworking and great to practise Spanish with. They're always improving and love creative ideas, perfect for someone who takes initiative.

This was my first volunteering experience and it has exceeded my expectations. The owner, Ivan, is very kind and Abel (who runs a large part of the Hostel) creates an unforgettable (local!!) experience for both volunteers and guests. The hours were flexible and as discussed. I had a lot of freedom in fulfilling my role as a volunteer: organizing events, taking the guest on tours and look for and work on improvements for the Hostel. The hostel changed management 3/4 months ago, which is why there is a lot of room for creating new and exciting experiences for the guests. Forever grateful!

Mi experiencia en el hostel fue increíble, y además fue mi primer voluntariado, así que lo hizo más especial. Iván es un excelente anfitrión, muy amable, abierto y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Desde el primer día me sentí bienvenida y cómoda. El ambiente del hostal es muy bonito, social y lleno de buena energía. Estoy agradecida con esta experiencia y definitivamente recomiendo el hostel a quien desee vivir un voluntareado significativo en Valladolid. 💛

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y fue una experiencia increíble. Valladolid de Yucatán lugar ideal para un voluntariado tranquilo y para conocer de cerca su cultura y tradiciones. Iván el anfitrión, es muy amable, cercano y siempre está dispuesto a conversar y a asegurarse de que te sientas cómodo/a durante tiempo estadía. El lugar cumple con todo lo que promete y es muy cómodo. La vida nocturna puede ser muy divertida si estás dispuesto/a interactuar y animar a la gente. Como punto a mejorar, me hubiera gustado un poco más de información sobre las actividades los primeros días. :)
