The Experience

We are looking for a night shift volunteer to help keep our hostel calm, clean and secure during the overnight hours. The ideal person is reliable and independent. They should feel comfortable standing their ground when enforcing quiet hours or dealing with disturbances, while maintaining a respectful and friendly approach. We had an amazing time at the hostel, we are very grateful to have it as our first impression of Australia. Shanice and Dean are the best and always kind to all of the volunteers.

Definitely a great crew overall. They were going through a bit of a transition period with staff & organizational structure, so I'll give them a pass for now on that. I was never met with any work beyond expectations, but I will say that working a 7.5 hour shift over night can be pretty brutal no matter how jacked up your sleep schedule is😂

This is one of the best places I've volunteered at. Shanice, Dean and the team have been welcoming since day one. The management is efficient and easy to work with. The work isn't tough, the hours are reasonable and the facilities here are very good. I've met so many great people from different countries and it's been a great experience overall! Highly recommended :)
