I had the most amazing experience staying with Laura and her incredibly welcoming family. My time at the farm was spent doing a mix of Gardening, babysitting, cooking and some attic reorganisation. I loved the variety of jobs, the opportunity to go exploring Exmoor national park, and swimming in my down time. The people, Scampi the dog, and experiences of life in the English countryside were unforgettable❤️❤️

This was my first experience with WP in England, and overall it felt halfway between good and bad. Some days were heavy: I spent hours cleaning mouse and pigeon droppings in the old attic, which seemed beyond volunteering, with little to learn. At times I felt unwelcome despite doing all tasks and trying, though my English needs work.I wished for more exchange, stories, and shared moments. The house is beautiful, Peter and Laura love country life and Scampi, their lively dog.A horseback ride with Peter in Exmoor was a fun adventure. I also enjoyed working in the garden, in the greenhouse.

Cristina had good manners and was willing to help however she is perhaps more suited to a more urban environment. She was hoping to see foxes and deer ("bambis") on her walks in the National Park and was disappointed .We had to explain that these animals are very shy.
Poor Cristina who was only with us for a very short time was ill for several days.We did our best to give her food that corresponded to her special dietary requirements but we fear she missed Italian Cuisine!
We wish her well.
