The Experience

You will be responsible for the day to day care of over 160 dogs. This includes daily cleaning tasks, poop picking, feeding and medicating of animals. Whilst working hours are anticipated between 40-56 hours per week, this could change at short notice. You may only be required to work 4-6 hours some days and other days 8 hours dependant on the need of the sanctuary. But be prepared that there is always work & you WILL get dirty!

WOOF the shelter is a truly special place! The dogs are incredible and so sweet and caring. Jeff is such a kind and genuine person, and you can truly tell he's dedicated his life to these animals. He's always around if you need anything. The room is comfortable and nice. Since it's right above the dogs, you'll hear some barking at night here and there tho but for me that was just part of the experience. Would definitely volunteer here again! 🐾

The experience itself is really nice, you get to spend a lot of time surrounded by doggies and learn about and with them. The dogs are super cute and you get to experience them being more and more confortable around you. The hours of the experience are intense and most of the days it's a full day of work, you really get immersed in it.
