The Experience

I started La Esperanza project about 3 years ago, with the vision of implementing what I have learned and taught for over 30 years. Our project is a comprehensive educational farm that supports those seeking a life more connected to the earth. Here you'll learn by doing: participate in real-life farm tasks, share knowledge with the community, and discover how to apply sustainability principles to your own life.

Nice experience, total connection with nature. Alex and Diana were great hosts, food was great and they made sure we were part of the family. A lot of cute animals, there is a German shepherd Athos who is very sweet but at the same time very unpredictable. Cannot be too cautious around him, other than that it is hard work around the farm, never s dull moment. I hope I go back, Boyacá is a great place to visit, nice weather and people.

Alex y Diana, junto con Herlington y las compañeras voluntarias, hicieron del tiempo allí aún más agradable. Las tareas y tiempos fueron de acuerdo a lo concertado, además de que el espacio para descansar fue cómodo y privado. Es un voluntariado para quien disfrute estar activo y de cuidar. Porque de lejos, lo más bello de allí fue aprender de los ritmos de vida de otras especies y de la posibilidad de caminarle al sueño de la seguridad alimentaria. Y claro, todo ello, unido a la vista al despertar cada mañana, hizo del tiempo allí más que disfrutable para trabajar, compartir y descansar.

Mi experiencia en la casa fue increíble. Alex y Diana son personas súper lindas y generosas y me hicieron sentir parte de la familia. La comida siempre es rica también :) Aprendí muchísimo del tema de permacultura y la vida cotidiana en una finca. La finca es hermosa se nota todo el esfuerzo que hicieron para crear un espacio mágico. Las tareas básicas del dia son bastantes fáciles. Igual Alex me enseño mucho de procesos agriculturas como lo del microorganismos. Si eres una persona colaboradora con ganas de aprender la casa es el lugar perfecto para ti.
