The Experience

We are turning an ancient farm in Normandy into a guest house for small groups willing to practice activities while enjoying the peace of nature and experiencing a way-of-life respectful of others. We need help to take care of our garden forest and make the outside space comforting and nurturing to our future guests : gardening, painting, organizing paths between areas, trimming, mulching, and we will be happy to exchange views and experience

Cécile and her family warmly welcomed me into their little corner of paradise. My first solo volunteering trip couldn't have been better. The house had everything I needed, and the work was varied, stimulating, and never too tiring. I had the chance to practice languages a lot (something I really cared about): English with another volunteer and long conversations in French with Cécile. I loved our daily tea with garden fruit, recipe swaps, and shared dinners. Twelve days to truly disconnect and reconnect with nature. Cécile and Damien—keep it up!

Cecile and her family were wonderful hosts, kind, respectful, and welcoming. Their home is beautiful and set on a stunning piece of land filled with fruit trees, a vegetable garden, and a variety of plants and flowers. Work hours and days off were always respected, and if a task happened to be more physically demanding, we'd finish earlier. We also shared a few lovely meals together and had many great conversations. :) I learned so much during my stay, and I'm grateful to have contributed my small part to the amazing project they have going on.

The stay at the farm was a very pleasant experience. Cecile is an excellent host, she welcomed me with generosity and hospitality. The tasks were very affordable and I learned a lot. The facilities are very comfortable and beautiful. I was lucky enough to share the volunteering with other very nice and friendly volunteers! A very nice community is created there :) (I definitely recommend it!)

Thank you Joel for visiting the farm and contributing to our project. I loved the team spirit that grew spontaneously among this little group of worldpackers, enriched by the various personalities and skills. It was great talking with you about your art, your projects while working!

Thank you so much Alan for chosing the farm for your first stop in France. It was great getting to know each other, building the path together, your energy was so communicative that it seems that my energy was much more than usual.

It was an amazing experience to stay at Cécile's place. Everyone had an own bedroom and I felt like working together with other Worldpackers made an impact for the progress for the farm and garden and building a Permaculture.
