Very good experience at the lodge Views the lodge. My job was to clean the rooms and maintain the garden. Stayed in a tent. The surroundings of Golden are incredible and met new people... Thank you to Nathan and Lilia who are very friendly and accommodating managers.

I really enjoyed my stay at the lodge. I saw every national park and did some great hikes. I've met a lot of cool people and having dinner with them everyday was one of my favourite things. This place is also perfect to detox and escape from the everyday life. The work is easy and not demanding and you have a lot of free time. It is also a good chance to change into a more healthier lifestyle. Nathan and Lilia are also very kind and helpful with basically every problem you have. All in all I would recommend doing this experience.

I enjoyed my time at the lodge. It is a beautiful place immersed in nature and surrounded by mountains. There are many friendly and helpful international volunteers there, eager to explore the area on their time off, and practice different languages with each other. The managers, Nathan and Lilia, are very kind, thoughtful, and easy going, always willing to help out with the lodge, or drive volunteers around the area for hikes or local activities, and they make sure you are comfortable with your stay.

I had a lot of fun during volunteering here. Nathan and Lilia are awesome. Always very kind and proactive. And I met many volunteers come from all over the world. Everyone is friendly and always help each other ! The only thing need to know is if you want to go somewhere in your day off, then you need to hitchhike. But here got many volunteers, so you can go together with other volunteers !!

The lodge is a special place - such a peaceful atmosphere and so many kind people! The area around Golden is beautiful and there are so many cool places to explore. The work involves helping with cleaning and/or reception, and is usually quite busy, especially in summer. But it was very rewarding to welcome guests from many different places. It is quite remote as many others have said so at times you can get a ride to town, or try hitchhiking! It is also nice to hang out around the lodge in your time off - relaxing in the hammock, playing card games, or talking to other volunteers.

I loved my stay at the lodge! Managers Lily and Nathan were incredibly kind, and I learned so much from Lily. I also had the chance to e-meet the owner, Jim, who was very nice as well. I wish I could have stayed longer. I went on a few hikes during my time here and was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights twice. Everyone I met, including the co-volunteers, guests, and staff, was absolutely lovely.

The place was beautiful! Everyone was super friendly and respectful. Unfortunately I had to leave earlier than expected but because I was extremely homesick. They were super understandable about it and even gave me a ride to the bus station so I could leave.

I had a good time staying at the lodge! If you are looking to meet nice and warm volunteers from all around the world, this is the place to be! If you are looking to explore the Rockies, having your own viechel will make a complete different experience. The work here is simple but repetitive, the admin role sometimes could be quite demanding. The cabin is bit ran down and nested in the woods, so the accommodation and facilities won't be the best. The host Nathan is the nicest guy, always willing to help, drive us around and get us groceries. Thanks so much for having me! 🤗🙏💖🌸

My experience in the lodge was good. I was able to practice my English, which was the main goal of this trip. I also met some amazing people and went hiking with beautiful views. The downside of this place is that it's literally in the middle of the mountains, the only way to get around is by hitchhiking on the road, which can be quite difficult—especially if you're a man (unfortunately). It's also important to mention that you're not always guaranteed a bed inside a cabin. Many times, you'll end up sleeping in a tent which isn't very pleasant due to the cold nights and a lot of mosquitoes!

Great time in the lodge especially with a nice team of volunteers ! Without them I think it will be too boring because we are little bit stuck without a car. So we did some hitchike or find Poparide to go to different places during our days off. The work was okay, I did housekeeping 9:30 to at the latest 3 pm. Nathan is busy but he took some times to drop off us in different places when he can, so thanks for that. We don't meet the owner, Jim. If you have a car you will enjoy this place ! Just a lot of mosquitos this year 😬 for a first volunteer experience it was really nice !
