I had a wonderful time at the community. The work was clear, well-organized, and we had plenty of free time. I learned a lot, especially about textile recovery and Malaysian culture. Joe and the community team were lovely and welcoming, and the volunteers were great. We had cooking and language classes, ate local food together, and I got to join different events, such as school factory tour, visiting a disability center, and even fashion shows. The apartment was modern and comfortable, and we even had a car to explore. It's just a bit far from KL, though. It exceeded my expectations, I highly recommend it.

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with kindness. I got introduced to the location, people and expectations. The apartment was the most luxurious place I have stayed at in months and they provided a car. The work was easy and fun, I managed a bit of insta and made content. I learned a lot about textile recovery here and would recommend people to volunteer here, so they can learn too. Maybe one day I will be back, but for now thank you the community!

I spent 4 weeks volunteering with the community, and it was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. I learned so much about sustainability, textile recycling, and how small actions truly matter. The team made me feel like family from day one kind, supportive, and easy to work with. The place I stayed in was peaceful and comfortable, giving me the space to grow and reflect. Forever grateful for this experience.

This has been a super interesting experience, I'm really satisfied with the work I've done here, I've gotten a lot of awareness about sustainability, textile recycling and how to contribute to enviromental care. Furthermore, since I was helping with social media management and content creation, I was able to improve my skills in editing and recording videos. All the staff were super friendly and able to help with anything i needed not to mention the super accomodation and fresh/yummy meals i got so If you are considering to come here just do it cause you'll love itt. Gracias Amerul, Thanks the community

This was my 5th experience, and the best!! Everything exceeded my expectations. Accommodation: a real luxury for a backpacker. Food: incredible and suitable for all diets (vegetarian, vegan, halal, etc.). Work: fun and fair, the staff are incredibly kind and the tasks are really interesting. Host: very kind, organized, clear in his expectations, and funny (sometimes). It's also a big advantage to have a car, which allowed us to go on weekend trips and discover more of Malaysia. We also learned a whole lot about textile recovery and Malaysian culture. I can't recommend this place enough!!!

My stay at the community was beyond expectations, I just kept on extending as I really felt at home there 💚 The accommodation is soo comfortable, it is a very modern apartment with comfortable beds, couch and TV, lot of space to put your stuff. The cook Nora cooked amazing vegetarian food for each meal. We could use the company car for going around and for weekends and didn't have to pay for gas, tolls and parking. the community staff is so kind and we taught us a lot about Malaysian culture. I learned a lot about textile waste and recovery while preparing the volunteering program. I can only recommend 💚

Volunteering at the community was educational and truly rewarding! Joe and the community team were extremely welcoming and friendly! Our tasks were fun and diverse, from assisting with school tours to helping with social media. The team were also so open to hearing about our ideas and skillsets and accommodate to those. I also learnt a lot about Malaysia and its culture through the cooking class, language class, days out, conversations and people. As well as the great food from Nora and modern accommodation, I would definitely recommend this experience!!
