The Experience

We are quite stoked to set up this year's summer camp! The camp site is situated in Comillas, a coastal town in Cantabria, north of Spain. We are looking for a couple of volunteers that enjoy labour work and that like to get their hands dirty. All meals and accommodation is provided (accomodation is in bell tents, also provided).

I had such a great experience during my stay! Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming, which made me feel right at home from the start. I truly enjoyed the time I spent there, whether it was helping out, learning more about sustainability, or just connecting with nature, it was all so meaningful. I was worried about the language barrier, but the kids were so kind and made a real effort to speak English. I'm leaving with new knowledge, great memories. A special thank you to Rash and Moni for all the support in arranging my way there, especially with all the unexpected issues that came up!

I had a wonderful time at the Camp! It was my first time volunteering and I couln't have asked for a better place and people to guide and help me through it at all times❤️ I was able to practice my english, connect with amazing volunteers from different parts of the world and develop some new skills (as well as improve old ones haha) The work with the kids was also really fun. This experience has made me decide to keep volunteering in more places, thank you!!

Amazing experience that I would really recommend! I got the possibility to learn so many new things and living 2 wonderfull weeks in the nature. First week of helping to build the campus and second week to enrich yourself with time with kids, perfect combination! Super nice area around, when you are free it's alway nice to take a walk around the camp or enjoy the silence/nature that surrounds you. But still, the best part of this project for me were the people that I meet, it's really nice seeing people dedicate so much of their life to new generations, something that inspires me a lot! Thanks

From the moment I arrived Moni warmly welcomed me. She kindly picked me up from the bus station and even dropped me off on my last day. I stayed at her home with her two lovely children, and I felt incredibly comfortable and at ease. The two-day camp hosted 39 children with full-day English immersion activities, which were fun and engaging. It was easy to connect with the kids, and the coordinator, Jash, was always supportive. I also had some free time to explore Santander and the beautiful coast. Thank you to Moni, Jash, and the team for this unforgettable experience!

I feel very happy and grateful to have been a volunteer at NewPa. I think this has been the best experience I've had this summer. The host and other volunteers were very kind and welcomed. Even though I don't speak Spanish, the volunteers, monitors, and host were all very friendly and could speak English. The kids at the camp also made an effort to speak English. The work hours and break times were well-organized because we had shifts and days off, which I found to be very balanced, allowing me to still explore the city. I highly recommend volunteering at NewPa.
