This was my first volunteer experience, and it exceeded my expectations. I learned new things while helping in a very warm family environment. The lodge is strategically located, allowing me to connect with nature while still having easy access to nearby cities. It is surrounded by an amazing natural environment, with fruit trees, a natural water pool, and a trail leading to a beautiful waterfall. The dogs are very friendly and often guide you on the walks. Mirta's food was great, and thanks to Rocio and her whole family, who are truly wonderful, I felt at home. I hope to come back soon.

I had an amazing time! A variety of tasks depending on the day ranging from watering plants to mowing the grass, all easily doable. The food was delicious, really enjoyed trying all the local dishes! It is quiet, relaxing and plenty of down time to connect with nature since it is a 15 min ride from the city. Immediately felt like part of the family!

Volunteering with Rocio was a pleasure and a perfect place to unplug. Her lodge is a hidden gem tucked away in the Andes, with a pool, river, private waterfall, and a welcoming family. Tasks & hours were clearly communicated and respected, and there was always something to do. Meals were consistent and nourishing, with a supermarket just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride away. Accommodations were clean and spacious, everything provided—towels, soap, clean sheets, and laundry. My time was truly transformative. I'll definitely be back, in the meantime, I can't recommend it enough to fellow travelers!!

The lodge is a beautiful place for immersing in peruvian nature, it's also very safe because of great dogs who are also amazing companions :) food is delicious, Mirta is an awesome cook! Family is very welcoming and friendly, everyone wants you to feel good and like at home. The small minuses were that twice we didn't have any bread to eat and for two days there was no clean water. When it comes to tasks, they were rather easy doable, but sometimes chaotic - changing in the meantime or we got two different commands, which was confusing. Also important, be aware of 🦟 and other insects :))

This is such a beautiful place for people who love to spend time in nature. It's a safe place thanks to their lovely dogs. The food was delicious thanks to Mirta. We have stayed for 2 weeks and we've been doing tasks such as: mowing grass, cleaning pool, cleaning restaurants, planting flowers, moving rocks and wood. The family was nice and they want you to feel like a part of it.The minuses are that we didn't have hot water, twice we didn't have anything for dinner. I highly recommend you to bring long lightweight clothes because there are lots of mosquitoes and it's really hot there!
