The Experience

Hi, we are Eric and Nathalie. We are back in our French home after 12 years spent in Canada. After this long absence the house and yard need a lot of care. It is a 19th century country house with a huge yard and pool. Mainly we need your help to keep on cleaning the outdoors, Indeed it has been unkept for so long. This is physical work that requires good physical condition. Inside you may be painting, cleaning .

I really enjoyed my time here! Nathalie and Eric are both wonderful people, right from the start they made sure I was comfortable and felt welcome in their home. Nathalie is an amazing cook, it was great to try so many different dishes, I am going to miss her cooking. I worked on painting and in the garden, they were great with flexibility of tasks especially on cold days. There are lots of wee villages and scenery around to explore, I was lucky enough to be able to borrow their van to go and visit some of them. This was overall such a good experience and I loved my time there!!

Nati and Eric are incredibly warm people!! I had an unforgettable experience with them. From the first moment, they made me feel very comfortable; they are very kind and treated me wonderfully. Nati's meals are delicious, and they both always check on me to make sure I'm okay and help me with anything I need. I walked a lot around the area: there are beautiful fields. The house is lovely, and the room where I slept was beautiful. Kiwi and Victoria were amazing 😊 I will remember my stay with great affection!! 🥰

I had the most amazing time with Nathalie and Eric and the gorgeous dogs Victoria and Kiwi. We painted, wallpapered, and gardened and had a lot of fun. Nathalie is the most amazing cook and it was wonderful trying so many French dishes. They are so kind and welcoming I truly felt at home, and the house and the area is beautiful too. Would definitely recommend!!

This experience was truly home away from home. Nathalie and Eric created such a warm and welcoming environment, that is unique. When I arrived, they asked me which type of work I enjoyed and gave me tasks related to them. They were always there in case of questions and/or need for help. I didn't have to do anything that I wasn't comfortable with, but they did help and teach me things I wanted to do, however lacked the experience or required knowledge. I felt loved and appreciated as a person and for every piece of my work. The food is perfectly described by others; it was 12/10 amazing....

Eric & Nathalie are warm, generous, and hardworking individuals. You can see how authentic their bond is and their shared journey is rather inspiring. From the outset, I felt welcomed. They were fully flexible with work hours, open, engaging, and by far the most accommodating hosts I've encountered. Their two dogs, Kiwi & Victoria, brought daily joy. Nathalie's cooking is to die for! Almost entirely from the garden too, every meal was vibrant, inventive, and super yummy. It was so good I am a little worried about going back to UK food 😆 I would 100% go stay with them again!
