I loved staying at the hostel! I loved that it was a social hostel, and not a party one. Quiet hours were respected, activities allowed so many people to meet, and the vibes were overall positive. I would say be prepared to da lot of cleaning, especially if you're doing reception/housekeeping. I did content creating and found it to be the perfect balance for me, which I loved. Mariana and Pat were the hostel managers that I hope to work with again in the future. And overall, Sayulita is a special place where locals and tourists come together and easily become friends. Surfing is also great!

My stay at the hostel was incredible. Mariana and Pat the managers and all the other volunteers really make it feel like home. The tasks and schedules are clear and there is great communications between everyone. The hostel is great, you have AC in your room, access to free surfboards and free breakfast. Sayulita is a perfect smalll surf town for that kind of experience, I loved it and will definetely be back! Overall a 10/10 experience.

My stay at this hostel has been truly unforgettable. From the start, I felt like part of a family—surrounded by warmth, joy, and the hostel people. 💛 The breakfasts are delicious, the tasks are easy, and the vibe of living and working together is incredible. Surf lessons here are the hostel too—fun, supportive, and deeply connected to the ocean. 🌊✨ Thanks to Sean, Mariana, and the whole family for making this place feel like home. I leave with a grateful heart, lifelong friendships, and the wish to return soon. This isn't just a hostel—it's a home away from home. 💙

I worked as a volunteer for a month. Throughout my time, Mariana and Sean were great mentors and friends with whom I connected deeply. The shifts aren't particularly long or intense so that meant that in my free time I had the energy to explore the surroundings and have a balanced life. Thanks to the whole team and all the travellers I met along the way who helped me make this place home :)

I'm so happy I chose to work at the hostel. Mariana, Sean, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The work is fair, simple, and rewarding—especially interacting with guests. Accommodation, breakfast, and surfboards are provided for 25 hours of weekly work (24 in housekeeping/reception, 1 as an activity). I practiced Spanish daily and felt part of a family. The hostel is social but not a party spot—fun yet respectful. Mariana is an the hostel manager, balancing chill vibes with professionalism. I wish I could stay longer and hope to return next season. Huge thanks to the hostel team—I'll miss you all!
