The Experience

We just bought a huge boat of 600m2 in the city center of Amsterdam that we will transform into a community party boat. A lot of work needs to be done and it will take a while, but there is no rush so we take the time to turn it into something beautiful. We need handy hands. We can learn you most of the skills if necessary.

I had a great time on board with the other volunteers, and the work was good too. Mark is a good guy, but sometimes he doesn't know what he wants. This makes working for him difficult. Otherwise, I had a lot of fun and learnd a lot, so thanks for the experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The experience in Gurú Amsterdam was amazing. Working on the boat's renovation was tough and demanding, but also very rewarding. I learned a lot, met great people, and enjoyed every moment. The host was excellent, always supportive and motivating. I totally recommend it! 🚤✨thanks Mark and Nina. 🇨🇴🫶🏻🇳🇱

Staying at the boat was a nice experience, definitely not a relaxing job but I think if you want to stay in Amsterdam a bit, and save some money it can be a good comprimise. Mark is a nice guy, always available and gentle. I had a funny experience with the other volunteers, so if you are not an anxious person who can share common spaces, I recommend it!

My stay at the boat was great. Mark was always attentive to our needs so we all felt comfortable. It should be noted that the work being done is heavy and manual. The company of the other volunteers makes the work less burdensome; the hours can even be flexible at times. At the end of the day, you can swim in the river or explore the city. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in your project, Mark and Nina. Gonna miss my friends Jhonathan and Frank. Best wishes to you all!
