The home is a warm and inviting spot to join as part of your WorldPackers experience. The hosts are excited to share and promote Okinawan culture and experiences and it's contagious. While we were there, I was able to totally throw myself headfirst into exploring this unique culture and look for ways to promote it through my own experiences. As we were the first volunteers with the home, we were responsible for helping to set up the spaces, processes, routines, etc. that would continue after we left. the home has lots of growing to do but I'm excited to see it happen

The home is a great place and I made plenty of warm memories here. The team is friendly, and excited to help you connect with the home. If you're okay with less direction and more freedom in your work day this is most likely going to be a good experience for you. On the days off, the home is a beautiful place with lots to do, however it's difficult to be independent without a car. You will need to set up car rides with the hosts as public transport isn't the best in this area.
