The $5 fee covers your contribution towards petrol and groceries as we will often drive from Ulu dong vilage to Budu Vilage to work on my conservation project.

Hey! After more than 10 years in engineering and busy city life, I decided to slow things way down and move closer to nature. Now I live simply, surrounded by trees, fresh air, and a nearby waterfall. Life here is all about slow living—growing food, working with my hands, and enjoying the little things. I love sharing this place with open-minded travelers and volunteers who want something different from the usual tourist experience.

I had a brilliant stay with Amir. He welcomed us into his home and also his life in the village. I enjoyed experiencing this, the food, the people, and the jungle treks! There are a lot of tasks around Amirs property and in his land in the jungle, we built a concrete wall as well as moving some wood around. Daily tasks involve feeding the fish and cats, and whatever needs doing around the property.You can expect lots of adventure, local experiences, cuddles with his cats, and time in nature. I had a wonderful week:)

I had the most amazing time with Amir! He was so welcoming and spoke really good English. We went on jungle treks with his friends where we had to cut our path, we cooked for his friends and they also had us over for lunch. Each night we would all make dinner together, it was a truly wholesome experience. Amir has so many goals for his bacecamp, community and jungle and I really hope he achieves them. 100% recommend! You think you might be chill until you meet Amir -- king of chillness. But seriously, what a nice, easy-going human with goodness in his heart. He really looks out for you and makes you feel like su casa is tu casa. His place is so lovely and relaxed . Also, he's doing his best to look out for the greater good of the community, which is awesome. You can tell he truly cares. I had a super chill time here while also getting a glimpse into the local rural culture. He always has ideas of stuff to do! So thankful for the opportunity and would definitely come again!! 💗

Volunteering with Amir was more than just volunteering, it was a real life experience. Me and my boyfriend stayed with Amir for about 10 days. It was our first voulenteer experience and we had a very good time. If you are looking for a place to connect with nature and hear the story about the village and the locals this is the place. Amir is a very sweet person who takes good care of everybody. We can definitely recommend him and his place to other voulenteers.
