Such an incredible experience joining this little business and family! Definitely very self-motivated and requires someone who can initiate projects and manage them with minimal assistance. A beautiful place and people. Johannes, Iolanda, and Amy are friends for life and I cannot wait to go back to their special home.

Johannes and Iolanda were welcoming, and generous with their time and resources. I really enjoyed helping out at the restaurant and interacting with visitors and guests. It is a remote area so bring a book and some other things to do in the off time. As for volunteerings, reliability, initiative and enthusiasm go a long way. The hosts are open to ideas and projects as long as you discuss it. Being open, flexible and immersing yourself in the culture and community will make it a rewarding experience! The nature is beautiful and there are some wonderful hikes. The area is safe and peaceful.

Overall a respectable experience. Meals and accommodation were provided. Breakfast and lunch are organised yourself through what's available at the restaurant and dinner is provided. During low season there can be little to do. This is a good experience for local immersion - for future volunteers please note the location as it is remote and the nearest beach can be 1.5hrs away using a collectivo. Outside of the work hours there's not much stimulation so bring things with you! Work hours are respected and so is freedom to explore, good communication with johannes.
