The Experience

Hey! I'm Andrew, 37, from England. I bought a small quinta just over 4 years ago near São Pedro do Sul to start a healing permaculture project with food forest, medicinal plants, and community spirit. We value meditation, yoga, dance, plant medicine, and conscious living in general. Looking for volunteers (min. 2 weeks) to co-create and and grow with us. Spring/ summer 2025: veggie garden, compost toilet, outdoor kitchen & forest magic!

Andrew was an absolute treat to live with when we stayed with him. He has a passion for making good food, and it shows. All his meals were delicious and he made us feel at home by adapting to our tastes and supplying any ingredients we needed to make food we enjoy. He is very chill, down to earth, and passionate about his the project and the beautification of his natural land. He focused on providing lots of communal and personal chill areas for the guests and him and gave us the freedom to do as we please on the property. He was extremely easy to work with and the hours were very favourable ❤️

My boyfriend and I stayed with Andrew for 3 weeks and it was our favourite worldpackers trip so far! Andrew was super kind and welcoming from the beginning. He picked us up in Oliveira de Frades and drove us to his property where we met his AMAZING dog, Kinnie. (She's so so sweat, kind, and loves new people and will go to the beach with you everyday) Andrew had a massive tent set up by the stream, where we slept for our time there. The bed was very comfortable and the sound of the stream next to us made us sleep all night! The work was also very enjoyable! I definitely recommend staying!
