The Experience
Helpers contribute to the upkeep of our 20-acre property, working in the garden or alongside other young helpers from around the world. Work hours are from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, totaling 15 hours per week across seven days. Afternoons are free, and helpers also enjoy two full days off to explore Perth, Western Australia, and beyond. I spent 5 fantastic weeks with Junko and Franck in Perth. Their warm welcome and kindness made my experience unforgettable. Junko and Frank are amazing hosts! Their beautiful property and huge the farm made every day relaxing and special. The work was easy and well-organized, and I always felt appreciated. Loved spending time in the farm enjoying the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I had a great time working on Junko and Frank's property. The work mainly involved weeding and housekeeping at this time of the year. Plenty of free time to enjoy the tennis court and the gardens. The hosts, the other travellers and the dogs were all lovely. A great way to start my time in WA. For the next volunteers: although public transport is available, having a car was definitely more convenient for this experience.

I had a great time at the farm! The house is beautiful and very peaceful, and I personally really enjoyed the gardening and cleaning jobs. It was also a great way to meet other travellers, as we are all living together in one house! Finally, Junko was very welcoming and helpful. Her dogs were also really cute, and I miss them already!

I was looking for a relaxing experience close to nature, and that's exactly what I found here. Junko and Frank were welcoming, flexible, and kind. Sharing a few meals with them and other travellers was, for me, the highlight of this exchange. The work was easygoing, and the room was comfortable and spacious. For those planning to explore the area, the home is conveniently close to a bus stop that takes you to the train station, with connections into Perth city (total trip is about 1h).
