The Experience

Looking for someone to help with daily cleaning animal care, housesitting and cooking. I homeschool my children and would like help with the housework so we can be outside more in the summer! We would like someone to be a part of the family. Someone who enjoys spending time with children, swimming in the lake, boat rides, ATV rides, walks and small hikes, playing games, reading, watching movies, and doesn’t mind living a remote and a slow life.

Erika & Rocky went above and beyond the level of hospitality I expected! I will be forever grateful for their immense generosity, thoughtfulness, and sincere consideration for my well-being. I appreciate so much that they offered so many options to 'work & play'. Thank you so much for almost 3 months of a very flexible work schedule, amazing home cooking, tours to a variety of places, weekly introductions to new experiences, and unforgettable fun moments, especially with Leo & Lola. Lac La Hache is a great summer spot away from home, and I hope to visit you all once again in the near future.

I could not recommend a stay with Erika and Rocky more! They are such a welcoming and genuine family who opened up their home to us and made our stay with them one to remember. They were always willing to show us everything that comes with life up in the Cariboo and I wish we could have stayed longer. I can't wait to go back and visit soon!

The experience with the home family was really nice. Erika is an admirable woman and mom, also she cooks amazing!. The family in general are really nice people, they make you feel really good in their place. The conection with the animals it was also a nice experience! I totally recommend the volunteer in their house.

It was a wonderful experience! Host's pictures correspond to reality! They have a nice room and bathroom for you! Whole family is very generous, friendly, fun and flexible. It is impossible not love them! About all the activities, Erika and Rocky explain very well everything that needs to be done. Definitely this is a place for those who love nature and country lifestyle. I already miss them a lot! I am sure, I will come back!
