The Experience
Hola:) somos una familia que vivimos en el Norte de Gran Canaria, en la montaña. Es un lugar precioso pero aislado. Si quieres tranquilidad, senderismo, naturaleza, es tu lugar. Nosotros vivimos en la casa grande y debajo de ésta hay un pequeño estudio con cocina y baño independiente para los voluntarios. Aunque algunas comidas las haremos juntos , podrás cocinar tu comida. Ideal para compartir y a la vez tener intimidad.

I stayed almost 2 weeks and did some basic cleaning, maintenance, repairs and garden work, every day was different. The private room is spacious with a small kitchen, but I also had good meals with the hosts. They are very welcoming and I was treated with respect. Strongly recommended

I was traveling with a friend to the farm. We had an amazing time there. The mountains and nature were wonderful it almost felt like a dream. This was our first time volunteering and the best we could imagine at Sonia's. She treated us like family, provided us a lot of delicious food and took us sometimes with her so we could explore different towns. The work was really fun and fulfilling. It was definitely not too much or too exhausting. Quite the opposite it was so much fun! Our little apartment we had to ourselves while being there was delightful we really enjoyed staying there!

Me and my friend went there together as our first volunteer experience and we could not have picked a better one! The place was beautiful and Sonia is the kindest person ever. She always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel like we were part of her family :) I totally recommend this place to get in touch with nature and explore the island apart from all the tourists. We already miss it and hope we can return one day!!

La experiencia con Sonia fue increíble. Era mi primer voluntariado y no podría haber sido mejor. El lugar es precioso, lleno de naturaleza por todos lados, con rutas de senderismo y un bosque que es reserva natural. Pero lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue la calidez y buena vibra de Sonia: siempre flexible, amable y con conversaciones súper interesantes. Si buscas desconectar totalmente del ritmo de la ciudad y estar en un ambiente familiar, acogedor y al mismo tiempo con tu propio espacio… este es el sitio ideal.

Mi estancia de dos semanas fue ideal para desconectar y practicar español con Sonia. Es un pueblo tranquilo, perfecto para el senderismo que hice a diario. Sonia es excepcionalmente amable y me dio libertad en las tareas. Ella me preparó comidas muy sabrosas y saludables. Me enseñó la isla y me llevó un fin de semana al sur. ¡Fantástica primera experiencia Worldpackers! Nunca olvidaré la calidez de esta familia.
