I loved volunteering at the hostel from the first day to the last. The atmosphere is perfect if you're looking for backpacker vibes: the common area makes it very easy to make new friends and socialize. The work is very simple, and lbo and Hicham are always willing to help and make volunteers feel at home. The hostel is in a great location on the European side, convenient for easily reaching various parts of the city. In general, I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to discover a magnificent city while living in a friendly environment. See you soon, dear Istanbul!

Unfortunately, my experience was terrible. It was the worst room I've ever been offered as a WP volunteer, with trash, dirty clothes, and food everywhere (it would be much better if it were cleaned at least once a year). I offered to clean it several times, but there were always excuses. The owner has no sense of responsibility, constantly curses, and is rude to people for no apparent reason. The food and pub crawls were good, but other than that, it's not worth it.

hmmm too bad, you didn’t mention that u brought bedbugs here, n u knew it. ur silence had cost us. we had to close the room for days after u left us half way as u did in ur last experience.. we didn’t write u a review cause we thought everyone deserves a second chance. It’s our fault that we didn’t take “skopje downtown hostel” review into consideration, the same happened with us, when u drink u start missing shifts n u can’t handle the registry properly. ONLY RECOMMENDED for cleaning tasks
