The Experience

We are in the heart of beautiful Burgundy and breed Arabian and Arabian-Barb horses. We have about 30 horses, ranging from foals, adults to retired ones. Help is needed in getting the horses fit (objective of possible endurance competitions) So we are looking only for experienced riders, light (not over 65 kg as our horses are small), with a secure seat and confident in all 3 gaits over variety of terrain, for all types of fun outings !

Marie-Christine and Marcel were so welcoming! I spent 2 weeks on their lovely farm and had an amazing time. We rode most days through beautiful forests and spent a day trekking in the hills. The work was fun and manageable eg. rides round the fields on the quad bike, sweeping, grooming horses, refilling water buckets etc. There was also plenty of time to myself as well. Marie prepared delicious meals with so much homegrown fruit and veg. They made such an effort to include me in conversations and I was able to practise my French lots. Thanks so much!

I spent some fantastic weeks volunteering with Marie-Christine and Marcel on their farm. Daily horse rides through the countryside were the highlight. I was provided with comfortable accommodation and daily delicious, nourishing meals. I learned a lot about horses, food production, nature, and life itself. My French also improved significantly through immersion and conversations. Marie-Christine and Marcel's hospitality was incredible. I highly recommend this authentic, enriching stay to anyone who loves horses and knows how to ride. Grateful for the knowledge and memories, merci pour tout!
