This experience had nothing to do with volunteering. The listing was misleading – instead of helping with repairs, I ended up ironing the host's underwear and cleaning his kitchen mess. On arrival, I had to wait all day in another town, and was mostly left alone with no clear purpose or guidance. He offered me sausage despite knowing I'm vegetarian. I paid for my own food and learned absolutely nothing. It felt more like he was looking for a maid than a volunteer. I left after three nights. Would not recommend.

Jana, I will take the time to respond to your comment. You are the type of person we like to forget. I cooked vegetarian dishes for you, my mother even brought us vegetarian couscous for you! You are a liar! You arrived on the 6 a.m. train and I told you I wouldn't be home until 2 p.m., and you say you waited outside for a whole day! Your explanation is shameful! For volunteering, yes I asked you to help me manage the house and you were informed before your arrival because the work is stop yet

My last two weeks with Mehdi was great. We were able to talk about our culture and know each other. He left me really free to do whatever I want and go to different cities near by. I just miss a little the work part that was a little confusing.

Mehdi fue amable durante mi estacia. Sin embargo, solo me quedé un día, ya que al llegar no me encontré con lo que habíamos pactado. El lugar y los horarios de trabajo que acepté al acordar el voluntariado eran distintos a los que él me planteaba a mi llegada. Debiendome trasladar y pasar algunas noches en un lugar a 130km del que figuraba en Worldpackers. Aunque nos habíamos comunicado por Whatsapp antes de mi llegada, en ningún momento había mencionado estos cambios.
