My stay was brief, but I thoroughly enjoyed being here! Boris is a very welcoming, friendly host who truly cares about the volunteers and wants to get to know them. The tasks were not hard, and the hours were very reasonable! We shared many lovely moments as a the lodge- at home or outside on little trips after work. I was personally very happy to speak French with Boris! The area is very nice- if you love nature, you will enjoy it. It's a little isolated, but Boris provides e-bikes to explore the area. I would wholeheartedly recommend Boris as a host, his cozy house, and the experience overall!

Being in France for the first time, I was pleasantly amazed by Boris's desire to accommodate volunteers well during our stay in the cottage. Boris was always genuinely interested in how we felt every day, and I can definitely say that he is a very easy-going person to talk with. During my stay, the volunteers and Boris, in my opinion, had good team bonding. Time went quickly by completing daily tasks, and we had enough time to rest and enjoy the stay.

Boris was very welcoming and made sure I always had everything I needed as well as enough time off to relax and explore the area. I enjoyed being able to learn about French culture and food by socialising with him and his friends. The work Boris asked of us was enjoyable and fulfilling, and I saw a real impact of my work by the end of my stay. The accomodation was clean and I enjoyed having my own private space to relax in. Boris is very flexible and encouraged me to explore the area using his e-bikes, as well as taking me to many local tourist sites. I would recommend to everyone!

One of my best experiences in volunteer programs and projects (in every sense); Boris is an exceptional person, a good leader, and always available to communicate with you in the best way possible, explaining in detail where he needs to be done for all of the projects he has for the Hostal. I recommend this experience if you want to learn more about the beautiful volcanic area, French culture and if you want to contribuite significantly to his great dream!
