The Experience

We need daily posts/stories/videos made for our social media accounts for the Dog Sanctuary. Someone with this position will be skilled with social media, naturally photography with it, and make daily posts for each day of the week while staffed at the sanctuary. You may participate in daily activities as you wish and will be responsible still for basics (cooking and cleaning are communal responsibilities), but social media and content is primary

Super impressive how the dogs act in the pack. Aaron created a loving environment for every the shelter! It made my heart so full to spend time with the dogs. However it was very intense and I was always ready for a good night of sleep in the evening. The whole place is still developing and you should know, that the facilities are quite basic. Take it as an invitation to help improve the level of comfort for everyone. The staff community is nice and I really enjoyed cooking dinner together every night.

Within the first week at the the shelter, I had already decided to stay on extra past my term. The work is challenging at times caring for 50+ dogs and all of their needs, but it's well worth it to see the positive impact you're making on a daily basis. This is not a place for the weekend warrior philanthropists. It takes dedication, commitment and the flexible necessity to take mostly all of it as it comes because every day is a new challenge.

I enjoyed it. Very fulfilling to help the dogs if you can handle hard work.

Living with and caring for the dogs was a very rewarding experience, all of the dogs are so unique and lovely. Taking the dogs for walks to the lake on sunny days and playing with them at the sanctuary was definitely my favourite part of the experience :) Improvements can be made to the on site facilities as it wasn't completely up to the standard expected but does require more funding to do so. Should also be mentioned that it is more of a full time commitment than helping out for a few hours then clocking out as the dogs need round the clock attention and care.

The dogs are great. Very cool location, with a lot to explore on your days off. Team I worked with was really great and became friends quickly. Would recommend for anyone that is comfortable around this type of work as well as living in and around nature
