I had an amazing experience volunteering in the guest house! I spent a month helping with guesthouse and gym cleaning, along with occasional yuzu picking, creating social media reels, and supporting various projects around town. Volunteers share a house and each have a private room. Attending the gym classes was also a highlight! Overall, it was a fun and meaningful experience where I met incredible people and felt part of the local community. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to step away from the busy city life and experience a more peaceful (& very rural) side of Japan!

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at this place! My main tasks were harvesting yuzus and cleaning the guest house, and everything was well organized and easy to follow. The place is calm, surrounded by beautiful nature, and perfect if you want to disconnect and enjoy a more rural side of Japan. Violet, Sara, and the rest of the team were always incredibly kind and attentive. They made me feel welcome from the very first day and were always ready to help or answer any questions. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic experience:)

Incredible place if you're looking for a calm and quiet home for a few weeks. The scenery is very beautiful. Of course we are in a very small town so don't expect a lot to do aside from working out in the gym and walking to discover the place. I initially came to take care of Vader (walk him several times a day ), he's a lovely furball, I will really miss him I also cleaned the guest house and harvested yuzus. The tasks are the ones listed in the position so no surprises ! I would recommend the place, just make sure you know that this is a rural town ! 😄

I found a calm and peaceful environment in the large house dedicated to volunteers, with a lot of light and space to work. From there, five min walk to the modern and large gym, with free access to all the classes. Work requires attention but is simple and leaves a lot of free time. In the area around there is a lot to see and to explore, much more than I was expecting. You also have a lot of opportunities to meet locals. Staff speaks English, Spanish and Japanese. I ended up prolonging my stay. This experience has been beneficial to my mind and my body. A big thank you to Violet and Sara.

The experience was great, it had a traditional Japanese bed just for volunteers, the guest house was new and had beautiful views of the river and mountains. Carlo and Violet were very nice to me, I am grateful to them. The tasks I did were housework, cleaning the barbecue and changing rooms.
