The Experience

We are a small cozy guesthouse that is looking for volunteer staff to help both for reception and housekeeping. The volunteers help 3 days a week from 12:00-20:00, and so have 4 days off in the week. We have space for 3 to 4 volunteer staff, and 2 permanent staff are also present. The general day to day tasks are cleaning beds after check-outs, general housekeeping and helping guests with check-ins.

Peace House the guest house offers a truly home-like atmosphere. The housekeeping tasks are straightforward, and the host, Steve, provides clear instructions and is always available to assist. Its cozy ambiance and excellent location make it easier to exploring the area. The workload is light, typically taking only 4-5 hours, which gives time to socialize with guests and staff, creating a genuine sense of community. I would absolutely love to stay there again! Thanks Peace House the guest house for the comfort and learning experience! 💜

Peace House the guest house was a meaningful experience as my first real worldpackers. Work was easy but varied by guest load. Weekly schedules are fixed before arrival without preference input, so swapping days is hard—I'd have preferred 3 in a row to travel easier. Accommodations are cramped and not ideal, but manageable if you're focused on learning and exploration. Some tensions arose, but didn't last. I met amazing global friends, and staff were kind and supportive when issues came up. I'll truly miss them. Is was a good introduction to worldpacking and makes me excited to continue meeting others!
