The hostel, as a host for Worldpackers and as a hostel, goes above and beyond to make volunteers and guests alike feel like they are part of the family. Arturo and the hostel made me feel welcome from day 1! He was always checking in on me every time he saw me and was receptive to suggestions for the hostel. The accommodation and everything were as expected, if not even better! Volunteers are not intended to replace employees, but rather to bring unique value and perspective to the hostel and guest experience. I highly recommend the hostel for anyone looking to volunteer in Cancun :)

The hostel was my first volunteer job and it couldn't be any better. I felt welcome and save every single minute of my stay. The working hours were absolutely fair and I had plenty of time to hang out with my new friends, to do tours and explore the city. Arturo is very flexible with the working hours and even gave me a day off to da tour. The hostel is very clean, central and in total a great place to stay. The working environment was very familiar and I'm leaving with a bunch of new friends. Would highly recommend this place for any kind of volunteer work ❤️

Couldn't recommend this enough! This is honestly the best hostel I've ever stayed in terms of cleanliness, organisation and activities offer. They treat the volunteers just like guests when it comes to the accommodation we have, how often they clean our rooms and change our beds/provide clean towel. Arturo is an amazing manager who always makes himself available to help with whatever we needed during our time in Cancun. I extended my stay for one week and would love to stay even longer if I hadn't already booked my flights away. If you get the chance to come here don't waste the opportunity

Fun experience! i took the time to also backpack neighboring cities like bacalar, holbox, tulum, and cancun was a perfect base to start with. the rooms were very comfortable as well as the facilities. i made some great friends here too! however, they paused the volunteering during my stay so i originally was with 8 other volunteers and then it dwindled to just 2 which was a bit lonely at times. the activities like bike riding were fun but could be possible to switch it up and find more engaging ones in the future :)

I had an amazing time volunteering at the hostel, it was my first time doing it and my experience couldn't have been better. I was staying at the hostel Enigmatic the premises were very organized and clean all the time, since this location serves more like a hotel boutique the kitchen was usually empty and the place was usually very calm and quiet, it has a nice pool as well. The staff was always very attentive and friendly since the moment I arrived till I left.schedule was easy on the hours but not really flexible when it comes to switch or change your day off. Overall highly recommend experience.
