I was supposed to leave a week ago but I'm still here. This café is a unique space, as well as the atmosphere and the people you're gonna meet. It's hard to describe in words. Thank you Tom for building this place and community, for your authenticity and for everything that you give to the people that come here. ❤️

The whole experience was truly wholesome, after the first days once I started to get to know the regulars and other volunteers, I felt like I had found an amazing sense of community. Tom is a super chill and genuine host, he checked in with me regularly on how I was going. The women in the kitchen and I had many laughs communicating via my poor Spanish. The other volunteers were there for the same time as me so I got to make amazing friendships that will be long lasting. The work at the cafe was also super chill and I enjoyed our weekly trips into Pana for groceries and cheeky ice creams.

I loved staying at the host there is so much free time. It is also a perfect place to explore. There are a ton of small towns all around. The hosts are extremely welcoming and kind. Overall amazing experience.

I had a wonderful time at the host! Tom, Iulia and also the lovely local girls working in the kitchen create an amazing atmosphere to slow down and enjoy the beautiful the host Atitlán. This is not just a café, it's a community hotspot and the most amazing place to meet beautiful people. The work is clear - and honestly really fun - and after your shift you can take a little break from the buzz in your own private room. Just one warning if you choose to volunteer here, you might not want to leave anymore (and develop a slight cacao addiction ;))
