The Experience

Come help us grow our tiny hostel in this beautiful Mexican town! The tasks are easy, a little bit of cleaning, a little bit of reception and lots of fun and group activities. We envision to create and bring together a group of volunteers who share the same passions, interests, energy and desires to connect to nature, art and the community around them. Our goals with the hostel is to build a community around us and build a little artist hub.

This was my first solo traveling experience and I really couldn't ask for more! Miguel and the team of volunteers were so welcoming and I immediately felt at home in the hostel. The town of San Jose is so cute and feels very safe, and the buses are easy to navigate. I am truly so grateful to the amazing group of volunteers, Miguel, and all the wonderful guests I got to connect with during my time in San Jose. So many adventures and memories made 🫶

My time here was truly unforgettable. For a small hostel, the guests are great, the work more than manageable and the atmosphere amazing. It's great for someone looking for something laid back that allows you to explore Baja California. With the addition of the new hostel car, I can't wait to see all the group trips that the hostel will have in store. I guess in sum if you're an outgoing/adventurous person, who loves the ocean, and is ready to meet new people, this experience would be perfect for you.

The second I came to the hostel I felt like home. This place and people there were truly so lovely and I always felt like a part of a family. The tasks were very easy, Dominique and Miguel made sure I felt comfortable, understood everything and were ready to help whenever I needed. The place and shifts were very well organised. Communication within the team was very good. The atmosphere was super chill and relaxed. It's a very social and you get to meet people from all over the world and make local connections too. The whole thing felt like a dream! I'll be back one day ❤️

Dominique and the rest of the hostel's staff warmly welcomed me to the team and to town. Communication was effective all times, and Dominique is easy going and always willing to help either with situations regarding the hostel or even with personal advice. Thank you for having me!
