The only plus to this experience was that the location was beautiful and very peaceful. However, there was a severe lack of communication between the volunteers and the host throughout the entire time. There were also many negative experiences with the town people. They were not very welcoming to outsiders. Most of the communication was with the host teenage son who was very rude most of the time. They were completely unprepared to receive us and didn't know there were volunteers arriving. The work done was nothing that was said in the application.

My experience was very mixed, for my first 2-3 weeks I loved every moment at the eco village I also believe this is the perfect amount of time to be there. The town is gorgeous the host Lucie was lovely and caring and the work was very easy. The work however is not as a kitchen hand as suggested however it is just cleaning. My only issues were with the town in general, it is a very small town with a small mind. The stares we received were intimidating but that lessened over time the more they got use to us being there. However anything we said or did apparently got spread around to the entire town.

Negocio familiar en un pequeño pueblo. Enamorada me voy de este lugar, donde todo el mundo se acerca a hablar contigo y a preguntarte (aunque en general la mayoría no habla inglés) pero de alguna forma te puedes comunicar. El trabajo consiste en ayudar en el restaurante ( limpiar, fregar ..) Y en las habitaciones del hotel. La familia y compañeros del trabajo son lo mejor, ni duden en hablar con ellos y sacaros una sonrisas como han hecho conmigo. Me voy muy contenta de este lugar y con la promesa de volver, aunque sea de vacaciones.
