The Experience

Hello dear friends We are two adorable cats called Baguera and Pompon. We live in a very beautiful farm in the center of a so small village of four families in the south of Slovenia. The surroundings are stunning and at the top of a small mountain. Our village is surrounded by one of the last primal forest of Europe and full of everything you want like mouses and cat nip. The best place a cat could dream of. Just join us there :)

I visited Vivian and his farm together with a friend and we had such a nice experience there. The surroundings are so beautiful and the work is doable. We learned some amazing things, for example how to build shelves or bake bread. All the people there were really nice. We already miss the animals so much, especially the cats who were so cuddly.

Vivien (host) is a nice person, he was very understanding & overall helpful. One of the things which needs to be appreciated is his passion for the farm, he has a very clear and creative vision for the project, and teaches you alongside on how to accomplish them. At the end of the week, seeing what we had accomplished together was very satisfying. He is a fun person as well, not shying away from taking part in all the small fun activities and just having fun with the group like dancing & watching a movie at the home theatre and so much more, it really makes you feel complete in the end.

Volunteering the farm with Vivian has been one of the most heartwarming experiences I've had. Vivian has a truly gigantic heart—he genuinely cares about everyone and makes sure we all feel comfortable and happy. I had such a great time during my stay, spending peaceful moments with the animals, especially the adorable rabbits and chickens. The atmosphere is calm, kind, and full of good energy. It felt like being part of something meaningful. If you're looking for a volunteering experience that combines connection, care, and nature, I highly recommend this one. Thank u Vivien !!

Vivien was a great host; accepting and accomodating of everyone and their circumstances, flexible with the work, organised, communicative and open. Everyone had a bed to sleep and all the food you could want, with a prepared meal on the table every night. The house brings together people from all over the world which makes for interesting conversations and company. The forest is so close, and the surrounding area is beautiful, I would definitely recommend for those wanting a break from the city and to reconnect with nature. The cats are so cute and cuddly, Bagera has my heart <3

Our stay the farm at Vivien's farm was really nice. The landscape surrounding the house is so beautiful and peaceful. The working hours are really chill and you're really independent in when you're working. The meals together were always nice and meeting people from around the world was such a cool experience. We already miss the two adorable cats and the other animals. Vivien was a nice host who you can have a laugh with or spent time with during the evening for example in the home cinema. During our stay he taught us new things like baking bread and building shelves, which was so cool.
