The Experience

In January 2018 we purchased an abandoned villa build in the mid XIX century by a rich emigree and ever since we've been focused in saving this piece of history for posterity. in 2024 we managed to complete the first phase of the project and the fun starts now. 2025 season we'll focus on the south wing. Foundation reinforce, west wall rebuild, roof rebuild and first floor rebuild. I'm confident we can accomplish the first really visible results.

Would recommend if youre wanting to learn Spanish or construction. The work was easy and interesting, assisting Suso in carving stones, then passing tools and sorting tiles while he worked on the roof. Food was great, large portions w freshly made bread. A beautiful house with great views and bikes available 45min walk/10min cycle to bus stop n bar (venta las ranas) 20min cycle to the beach. Still in construction phase so don't go if you're expecting luxury, but the beds are perfectly comfortable and the hosts will jump to give hot water bottles n things if you get cold. Plus cute dogs n cats!

I had a great time at the project. Suso and Myriam made me feel right at home. The house is in the countryside with an amazing view right from the house. The towns and cities nearby are also fun to visit and explore. The work will definitely get you dirty but its interesting and rewarding to see the progress made. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get in touch with nature and visit and experience Asturias.

Miriam and Suso are very welcoming I always felt at home during my stay. Miriam is an amazing cook and Suso is very passionate about what he does and he knows every detail about anything, I was so impressed and I learned so much from him.

Suso and Myriam were wonderful hosts and willing to accommodate any deadlines or needs I had. I was the video editor for Suso, and he was very willing to let me have a lot of the creative freedom and work with him. The food was great and felt very family-oriented. If you're looking for a bit of a technology detox up in the mountains, the project is a great place to go, they'll treat right and genuinely care for you and your wellbeing.
