The Experience

Join us at Leis’ys Garden, a vibrant restaurant, hostel, and event hub in El Valle, Samaná! We’re looking for a versatile volunteer to assist in our kitchen, help with light cleaning, and, most importantly, create stunning social media content (photos, videos, reels). You'll also experience the unique energy of our events like yoga, exercise sessions, and our upcoming Bachata Retreat, while enjoying free meals and accommodation. 🌿✨

I had an amazing time at Leisys the hostel. I loved taking care of the plants and being apart of the community. El Valle is a truly magical place where people can enjoy the beauty of paradise. Leisy and Ostin are amazing heart warming people and all of the local staff are so wonderful and welcoming. I will 100% recommend.

I spent two nice months in the kitchen position, learning to prepare delicious dishes with ease. I also had the chance to practice Spanish with the hostel wonderful team and English with other volunteers. The hostel space and gym were amazing, and the hostel was the perfect place to relax and reconnect with myself. A special thank you to Helena, the cook, who was always so kind and welcoming. And, of course, to Leisy and Ostin for the great times and conversations—I truly appreciate it! ❤️✨

I've spent 6 weeks at the hostel as a content creator and everything about my volunteering was exceptional. El Valle is a lovely town full of wonderful nature that I never stopped being amazed by. The community is so welcoming and you will feel a part of the family right away. The hostel and spaces available to volunteering are beautiful. The volunteering itself was something I enjoyed a lot and thanks to Leisy and her guidance I also developed skills. Overall, the experience brought a lot of peace and positive energy into my life, I will never forget this chapter and hope to be back soon!

Volunteering at LG was an unforgettable experience that I'll always cherish. The time I spent here was not just about helping out; everyday I was learning new skills, growing personally and living slower with more gratitude for my surroundings. the hostel recipes are amazing and there's plenty of space to use your own creativity in the kitchen. El Valle is a magical place in nature and the beach is just 5 minutes away from LG. Thank you to Leisy and the team for being so welcoming.
