I had a great first experience of volunteering in the hostel. The works isn't complicated and tranquil. The place is really clean, there is space, I felt comfortable. Diego is flexible and introverted person. I would have expected more communication about the tasks from Diego, moreover I didn't spoke a good Portuguese at first so that was sometimes difficult to be part of the conversations, and the host didn't makes things to make me feel comfortable with that. Diego is a good cooker, we ate all together with guests at dinners, and thats makes feel a good “family atmosphere”.

I'm very sorry that you dind't feel included in the conversations. There are mostly brazilians guests here, traveling in Brazil, that do not speak english. The conversations are indeed mostly in portuguese if there are only brazilians around, as I'm sure in France they would be in french. I know it's not an easy situation, but we can't expect everyone to adapt to our needs.

Minha experiência no hostel foi muito tranquila. O hostel é um ambiente aconchegante, bem arejado, organizado e fica próximo a praias lindíssimas. Realizei tarefas de limpeza que eram fáceis de executar, além de atividades de arte educação com as crianças que moram perto o hostel, o que deixou minha experiência ainda mais feliz. O Diego é um anfitrião tranquilo, respeitoso e de fácil comunicação. Se você procura uma vivência de paz e contato com a cultura local, o hostel é o lugar.

Minha experiência no hostel foi muito tranquila, as tarefas eram bem fáceis, o Hostel abriu recentemente e pude participar desse início. O lugar é bem aconchegante, com uma vibe bem de casa mesmo, era a tranquilidade que eu precisava. Barra Grande é muito gostosa de viver, uma paz e calmaria e praias maravilhosas. Além disso o hostel estava com um projeto com as crianças que moravam lá perto, pude participar de oficinas de artes que outra voluntária estava aplicando e foi gratificante demais, deixou meu coração quentino. Gratidão ♥️
