The Experience

A pop-up café is opening in January 2025, and we need help with building, decorating, and serving drinks. Dao Home is a welcoming space for relaxation and connection, hosting events like karaoke, game nights, cooking classes, and music workshops. Ongoing projects include designing (interior) a tiny home, creating communal spaces, and upgrading the volunteer tent area.

I fell in love with the local slow life. Every day I woke up to a beautiful mountain view, surrounded by calm and simplicity. The activities were meaningful and varied, from farming and working with wood to drawing, making each day unique. The team took great care of us and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They are people with truly big hearts. I contributed through my photography, capturing daily moments, emotions, and the special spirit of this place. This was an experience felt not only with the mind, but deeply with the heart.

I met amazing people at the farm and had a wonderful stay :) the farm is a peaceful place surrounded by nature but still near a small town where you can visit the markets and get everything you need. The tasks are always fun and you get to do some farming, building and artwork.

MAGNIFICENT experience — unfortunately I stayed only 10 days. the farm makes you want to live there forever. In a short time I learned so much, and I hope to come back here in the future.

Mark, Tommy and Aneta created a wonderful, welcoming home just outside of Chiang the farm. They have the sweetest dogs and cats, a little cafe were Nico makes the best coffee and there's a chef that prepares 3 delicious meals a day. In the mornings we usually did a little bit of work such as gardening, painting or helping out at a cat sanctuary. And then we had the rest of the day to ourselves. We explored the nearby waterfall, markets, cave and hotsprings and visited lots of little coffee shops. We even extended for a couple of days and would love to come back in the future!

We spend two weeks at the farm and it was incredible! All the people and the animals are so welcoming, it truly felt like a home away from home. The volunteer work/workshops that we did were very informational and I learned stuff I'll be able to use in the future. I would definitely recommend to stay at the farm, the view of the mountains is gorgeous and Chiang the farm is a very nice town with enough things around to explore!
