The Experience

Your main tasks will be cleaning & housekeeping, 5 days x 4h weekly shifts in the morning or in the evening. The evening shift's main purpose is to keep the kitchen tidy and keep the rooftop common areas under control Our hostel is fun but relaxed, attracting interesting people that come to meet other travelers, socialize and chill out. We like bringing life to the hostel and always keeping a great atmosphere, so we need your help with this too.

I had an experience above average compared to other volunteering opportunities I've had so far. Everyone who works at the hostel is great, tasks are divided among the volunteers throughout the week, and the good environment makes the difference . The hostel's facilities are great, as is the location. I loved being part of the team and will miss it. A special thanks to Marco and Roberto. It was a pleasure sharing this time with you.

I volunteered with El Grenado from July to June, my roles included making beds, cleaning common spaces and closing them at night. The volunteer position was well organised, clearly communicated, and was true to the hours agreed upon. The facilities were among the best out of the many hostels I have stayed at. The volunteers and staff are welcoming, friendly and phenomenal people who will ensure you have everything you need for a good experience. The hostel is a social hostel full of young people, you will make friends with both travellers and staff. I would highly recommend El Grenado Hostel.

The hostel is a very comfy place! I felt very welcomed right away. The workers here are so nice and always answer to your questions with patience and good energy. It's nice to meet new people traveling the world even if for a shorter time but also to get to know better the other volunteers that are there at the same time as you. There are plenty of supermarkets in the are and very very close to the hostel. I recommend❤️

The hostel is more just a hostel, a place of warmth, kindness, connection. Heart and soul. The team has created something truly special, not just a place to stay but a space where people grow. Their hospitality is built on trust, respect, humor, and generosity. This was the best journey of my life, and the hostel played a huge part in it. Roberto, Marco, Adrian, Paula, Espe, Leo, Male, Amelie, Pepi and many more - thank you for making me feel like home, I expanded my family and roots. I hope to return. Hasta luego, the hostel - until we meet again.

Staying at the hostel is simply a must for all worldpackers! This was my first experience through the platform, and it couldn't have been better! I've met so many lovely people, and the other volunteers and staff became like family to me❤ Granada made me feel at home! The hours are respected, the work is exactly as described and we have a schedule with all the days and hours for volunteering, which was crucial for me! Also the communication is super clear and the vibe and shared moments are amaziiiing! Thank you so much, the hostel! ❤
