I loved being part of the organization and contributing to their mission. Jimmy and the team are committed to creating a the organization that feeds, educates, and empowers. Each day I saw the positive impact this project is having on the women and children here. I chose to stay with Mary and Louis as my Homestay family and I couldn't have been happier. Their hospitality, friendship, and amazing cooking were also a highlight for me. So glad I could be in Karonga and contribute to this project!

I had a fantastic time with Jimmy and his team at the organization. It's an incredible way to immerse yourself in local life and culture—every day I was learning and connecting in ways you simply can't as a tourist. the organization around Karonga is so welcoming and kind; from the children at the centre to the local members, everyone was extremely welcoming and generous to visitors. During my time there I particularly enjoyed helped with decorating the office. As a volunteer I was particularly encouraged to bring their own ideas and creativity to projects, which makes the experience feel collaborative.

Hereno, Thanks for choosing to work with TWESA. It was a great experience with you. Have been able to start learning some words in Portuguese. Thanks for the support of flour toward the children feeding program and also the balls for our kids. Above all, many thanks for the writing on our walls which will remain for years. Your humbleness, hardworking and the love for children is great. You have left a great impact behind. Wishing you all the best in life. Obrigado!

What a beautiful project, sustained by the local the organization! Jimmy, James, Angela, and the rest of the team are truly putting their hearts into it. Karonga, located at the border with Tanzania in the far north, is not the easiest destination to reach due to rough roads and the long journey. If you're coming from Lilongwe, I'd suggest breaking up the trip with a stop at Nkhata Bay to avoid spending over 13 hours on the bus. The team is always open to suggestions, and you'll have a wonderful time working with them. Feels like you contributing to something meaningful

Was a wonderful time with Laura and left behind a great impact. We have launched a children feeding program and thanks to Laura for the support. The sporting equipment and everything. Our community resource center is becoming more busy now and we are happy to see that the dream is coming to reality. The women are now into chicken farming as an income generating activity and also as a source of manure for their gardens. We welcome others to come and supplement the efforts in anyway possible.
