This was my first time volunteering, so at first, I was a little nervous. Since I'm not great at English, I thought I might struggle with the language barrier and cultural differences. But my worries disappeared pretty quickly because the host was super kind! He carefully explained everything about the volunteer work and answered all my questions whenever I needed help. Thanks to him support, I was able to handle my daily tasks without any problems and ended up having an amazing time. The best part of this experience was meeting people from all over the world with different backgrounds. Thanks!

The home was okay, travelling as a couple the work was very manageable and easy to finish in the day however, tasks could be given at any time of the day. The bed was in the dining room so lacked privacy and we woken during the night. The host gave us opportunities for paid work which was useful. Days off were flexible and chosen by us. We were the only contact for the guests & were approached at any time of the day.

Thanks for the feedback. An opportunity was offered to take beds in the dormitory rooms as it's a hostel but that double bed was chosen instead. I don't know why. Then it's highlighted with 3 stars on platform. We wish you all the best for your future endeavors. We don't understand why 3 stars are given though. We'll accept individual volunteers moving forward as we did in the past. Please note our account got paused because of these unfair reviews.

Our experience at bluetongue was okay! The hours and the work were good. We struggled a bit with communication with the host and had no training/ meeting with the host throughout our the home. The double bed was in the dining room and so we lacked privacy and was of course quite loud with guests getting up at various hours and using the kitchen. There was the opportunity for paid work which is great.

I was the first volunteer he's ever had and he was still getting set up, so there was a lot of collaboration with him regarding ideas and supplies. The host is a very respectful and kind person, and he's very laid back and understanding, so there isn't any pressure really at all. He's also very friendly, and even gave me a ride to my next location once my the home concluded. My only discomfort was with 2 things: 1) it's important that every morning he sends the entire work load in a text so that it can be done in time for new checkins & 2) prioritizing safety of female travelers. Great place ☺️

Thanks for the feedback. 1. Now we do have a girls only room with 6 beds for their safety though they book mixed dormitory beds usually but option is there. 2. Now we do provide a user account on our PMS for volunteers to see the guests checking in and out. Thanks for your kind words. Stay blessed.
