The Experience
Hello! Frankfurt Hostels Activities is a new project! We are looking for ougoing volunteers that will help us organising guided tour of the city and lead the interested people in fun Pub Crawl. In order to apply for this position, you must be ready to entertain people, being easygoing and cheerful. The work time can be flexible, but all the volunteers will not work for more than 4 hours per day and will always have 2 days off per week.

The 5 Elements Hostel was a great volunteer experience for me! Leadership is great and communicative, friendly, the other volunteers were international and great to work with as well. The area right around it is a little dicey but still safe compared to other countries and if you walk 3 blocks your out of the area and can be right by the river which was my favorite place to wander along during my stay! If you're staying for a month recommend get the DB ticket and exploring nearby cities, like Heidelberg! Great volunteer spot and great people! Dankeschön 🙏

My time at 5 Elements was good. Work was pretty easy at only 25 hours a week. It was well managed, although sometimes I found some of the rules to be inflexible even when it was extenuating circumstances.

Unfortunately, my volunteering experience here was unsafe and negative. The workload was far beyond what was agreed, with frequent 2-3 shifts per day and excessive hours. The hostel is located in the worst part of the city, and during my stay I was harassed by men multiple times; one men tried to kiss me and followed me everywhere, which make me feel extremely unsafe , yet I was still expected to stay late supervising guests and alcohol consumption despite the situations. Hygiene conditions were unacceptable, specially in the kitchen, where there were cockroaches, flies, and a mouse. The ove
