I loved this experience! I loved getting to know Ana, and despite me not speaking much Spanish, we became very very close. The bar work was easy and fun, and a good way to connect with both the locals and travellers. You get plenty of time off to hang at the beach and explore town too, as work is only in the evenings. I would 100% recommend this volunteering program! I would suggest going in high season if you are music focused, as in low season the band doesn't usually come together, and you will be mostly working at the bar.

My the host experience might not be a typical one. The girls I shared the volunteering with will stay life long friends for me. Although the living situation was a little uncomfortable due to heat and its very simple nature, it was still the best first volunteering experience I could've asked for. The bar itself reminded me of home (Quebec, Canada) with its edgy artisanal vibe. What really made me appreciate fully was Anita the wonderful woman who works the bar. She's now someone I would call a second mother, I love her and will miss her everyday. I will come back to Samara ASAP! 🤍

I had a really good time playing music in the host with the two other volunteers with whom i've become really close friends. Anita from the bar is the nicest and funiest person and I had so much trouble leaving her. She was so sweet to us, helped with the local buses and was flexible. The beach is right in front of you and wonderful, but there isn't so much to do around, especially in low season, and not many clients during either. I feel like the bartending part could be improved so we can developp skills. Overall it was super chill and like a family, thank u so much Anita, pura vida ! 🌴❤️

I had the best time volunteering at the host. This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was such a great one, I heavily recommend this experience for anyone who is newer to Worldpackers. The work load was light, the energy was always good, the accommodations were generous, and the manager Ana made all the difference. She was so fun to be around and made everyone feel so loved and at home. Will definitely miss this place and especially her <3

This bar in Sámara is really something special. I live upstairs, just steps from beach, surfing every day. The vibe is super chill — small, cozy, and always cool people coming in. Music is big part here. I play drums, jam with others, or just relax in VIP area. Anna is like big sister, always helping, cooking. Jacob brews amazing beer, really. I feel lucky to be part of this place. It's more than bar — it's heart of culture here. I do my best to help and enjoy every moment.
