Volunteering at the host was a great first Worldpackers experience! Enjoyable work in the mornings that leaves your afternoon free to explore the island and follow their great recommendations for local activites. Overall it was a great learning experience for those interested in running a sustainable business, and good chance to meet fellow travellers. The accomodation is also great, best of luck Laurine & Syed with the new factory!

We had an amazing time with Laurine & Syed. Laurine taught us about the host brewing process, and the experience was very hands-on. Besides work, we had lots of free time to explore Langkawi, received many recommendations, and were lucky enough to spend Christmas Eve with Syed & Laurine. Their jungle house is incredibly peaceful and a great place to relax if you don't feel like going out. You'll need a scooter to get around, as the house is relatively far from the beaches and main sights. Thank you, Syed & Laurine, for the fun times we shared and everything we learned. See you again!

I had a really great volunteering experience here. The hosts were genuinely welcoming from day one, and the work felt both fun and meaningful They went out of their way to include us in local events, showed us around the island, and helped us experience Langkawi beyond the usual tourist side. A real highlight was them preparing a special Christmas lunch for us, which was incredibly thoughtful and made us feel very cared for It's clear they're passionate about what they're building, and I'm confident they're going to do great things with the project. I absolutely recommend to other volunteers

My expérience with Laurine and syed was really good, they were here for us the whole time, if we needed anything they were around, the work was really interesting and laurine was really asking our opinions for the creation of the new flavours. Mr bear is truly an amazing dog, i'll miss her ! The only problem that i need to talk about was the rats in the kitchen and the preparation tables, behind the crates too. Rat fecies on the counters. I think for a kombuncha farm it's not really normal, my partner julia also noticed it, but besides that the expérience was amazing and i will never forget.

I have spent 3 week at the farm. It has been lovely and very relaxed while at the same time interesting with lots of opportunities such as exploring the island (duh) however with all the free time I had I found this a very easy thing to do. 🌀 The hosts are also extremely caring and really make you feel welcomed. Cooking amazing dishes. I had my own space and my own life, local gym, favourite restaurant etc. However they always invited me to join them when they went to music events, for a run or even lunch. 🌀 The house is lovely. It's clean. Tidy. Anything you could ask for is provided.
