The experience

Our hostel in Bruges is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Guest Experience Host to be the face of our hostel and create memorable stays for travelers from around the world. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a vital role in ensuring a warm welcome, smooth operations, and an unforgettable Bruges experience. You might be responsible for some reception tasks in the morning or evening.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 22 and 35 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

European Union Passport

Program Details

Guest Check-In and Check-Out:
Greet guests with a warm and professional attitude.
Handle check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy in bookings and payments.

Concierge Services:
Provide guests with information about Bruges' attractions, transportation, and cultural activities.
Offer personalized recommendations for dining, entertainment, and local experiences.

Front Desk Operations:
Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
Manage bookings and reservations using the hostel’s property management system.
Address guest concerns or issues promptly, escalating as needed to management.

Community Engagement:
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment by encouraging guest participation in hostel events and activities.

Evening Bar:
Creating a great atmosphere for guests by planning activities and helping out with bar responsabilities.
