The project was a truly eye opening experience, and something i will think back on for a lifetime- the children while at times very chaotic had SO much love and joy to give, and being even just a small part of their lives and their education or painting or playing at the beach with them during free time was inspiring in ways hard to describe. Pedro truly has been changing lives for the better for 15 years, and you can see the island changing for the better because of it. Would reccommend to anyone wanting to learn true gratuity, and help with real change- would love to come back one day💜

My experience with the project was incredible. From leading workshops to teaching water sports, every moment was rewarding and meaningful. What stood out most was how transparent and community-focused the foundation is, you can truly see the difference you're making and how resources are reinvested. Having had disappointing volunteering experiences elsewhere, this felt completely different. The team is welcoming, passionate, and open to ideas. I would 100% recommend volunteering here and hope to return one day!

Volunteering with the project was an incredibly eye opening and life changing experience. I recommend them if you're interested in learning how you can live a more sustainable life. Life at the foundation is pretty particular since you have to be incredibly intentional about not wasting ANYTHING, including plastic and water. This was an adjustment at first, but it was incredibly rewarding to learn how to see life from a more environmentalist point of view . There was also plenty of free time to explore Tierra Bomba during the week and Cartagena during the weekends!

From the very beginning, I felt incredibly welcomed by the community and especially by the children we worked with every day. The project itself is a beautiful mix of education, equality, sustainability, animal care, and community building (and of course, the surfing is a big plus!). It truly offers a space where everyone can contribute in their own way. Pedro is a truly inspiring person. You can feel how much heart and energy he pours into this project, his commitment and vision are contagious. I can 100% recommend this to anyone looking to volunteer in a meaningful, joyful, and grounded way.

The project is a great organization that really makes a difference in people's life on the island. The other volunteers and people from the foundation are very nice too and I felt really comfortable with the whole living situation. Even though I couldn't stay for long, I'll still take away a lot and am very grateful to have had this experience. Definitely recommend for especially extroverted people that love working with kids :)
