Volunteering at the farm was a great experience. The farm gives you an opportunity to connect with the beautiful nature and Paraguayan culture. We loved working with Lidia and Nelson—both hardworking people excited to share about their life experiences. The hours were respected. Atilio was a great host, offering all the things needed for us to feel comfortable. If you are interested in staying in a farm in Paraguay then the Granja is your place. Important to know though, is that the farm is a bit far from the city, making it a bit difficult to explore around. Gracias!

My experience at the farm was nice and relaxing. Our patronos Nelson and Lydia were very kind and fun to work and drink tereré with, and Atilio provided us with all the food we needed. The farm is beautiful and huge with cute animals everywhere. My only disappointment was that there weren't many activities to do when my partner and I weren't working because we were the only 2 volunteers and the city is a bit inaccessible from the farm unless you have a car. This is a good volunteer opportunity for someone who wants a quiet, tranquil nature experience.

I had a really Great time at the Granja. Atilio is a very nice guy and a great cook. He does everything that you feel welcomed and have a great time. It was very low season as I was there so the tasks were basically swapping the patio and cleaning the cabins but over all it's a great place to relax. The area is huge and there are many animals living on the farm. I would definitively recommend staying here!

I absolutely recommend volunteering at the farm Libre! It is a wonderful place filled with great people. The work is easy and consists of cleaning and preparing cabins, cooking, sweeping, & some outdoor chores. The food is fantastic and is a great way to try local cousins (vegetarian flexible). All tap water is drinkable & the accommodation is private or shared depending on the amount of volunteers. Dates are also flexible with the option to extend! It is mostly Spanish with some English between the volunteers. I am a solo female traveler and highly recommend.
