Rafa is once again the best I have been there two times and the schedule and work that I had to do is very flexible and straightforward. As well, it allows you alot of time to know medellin in your free time.

My experience was 10 of out 10. I have had opportunity to be involved by the medellin culture and explore every single corner of Medellin which I would say it is a magnificent city. Likewise, I could show my abilities as an English teacher at the Comuna 13 to children. On the other hand, Rafa as host was very attentive and frendly, always asked me what to needed all time. Defenetely, I would come back here was amazing experience and a great culture exchange.

Beds had bed bugs so with my friends we decided not to sleep there, Rafael told us that he will find a solution, the next day we all searched for an new place to stay but the room was available only 3 days later, so I said to Rafael that it was okay during those 3 days we will go to visit Guatape with my friends and we will come back 3 days after. He said he will take everything in charge etc. 3 days later we arrived to the new place where we were supposed to meet, he never answered our calls, our messages, until now he still didn't …

I had a great time volunteering and really liked Rafael who was showing me around. However, the experience was often frustrating due to poor organization. The communication was unclear, and the promised three meals only included lunch, with no private bathroom, no laundry access & no blanket. After requesting a change, was I moved in a Hotel which I really appreciated! On my last day, Rafael didn't inform me I needed to switch in a accomodation of his, leading me to book a Airbnb. He later claimed I was late and didn't want to volunteer, which wasn't true. His miscommunication made it unfair.

Raphael is a very nice person and it seems he is very engaged with his venezuelean culture. However his communication could be improved, he doesnt communicate plans, a lot of stuff is last minute and most of the teaching is done online for venezueleans. So it doesnt have anything to do with columbia. He is a very good cook, but in the description it said, we would get breakfast, lunch and dinner and we most of the time got only lunch. Also the description said, we would get three days off, but it was not communicated which days so very spontaneously i „worked“ when i thought i wasn't supposed
